মনোজ দে-র কবিতার বইটা ভারি আশ্চর্যের। সব কবিতাই আত্মজৈবনিক। কোথাও প্রকট, কোথাও-বা প্রচ্ছন্ন। এই বইটিতে ঠাকুমা, মেজো, দাদু, ন-দিদা, বড়দি, মেজোমামি, সৌরভ প্রভৃতি সরাসরি কবিতার নাম হিসেবে এসেছে। অর্থাৎ, একটি পরিবারের আলো-অন্ধকার বইয়ের পাতায় পাতায় ছড়িয়ে রয়েছে। একটি একান্নবর্তী পরিবারের আত্মকথা যেন। সেখানে আনন্দ আছে। বিরহ আছে। সেই বিরহ বনেদি ছাড়া কীই-বা হতে পারে?
