কবি জমিল সৈয়দ সম্পাদিত ‘বাংলা কবিতা (রমেন্দ্রকুমার থেকে প্রবুদ্ধসুন্দর)’ সংকলনটি ১৯৯২ সালের বইমেলায় প্রকাশ হয়। বহু আলোচিত ও বিতর্কিত সংকলনটি। প্রধানত, তার দুটি কারণ।
১। এই সংকলনে তৎকালীন জনপ্রিয় অনেক কবিই স্থান পাননি।
২। এই সংকলনের পাশাপাশি একই বছর আরেকটি সংকলন প্রকাশ হয়, যে সংকলনে এই সংকলনের সূচির সমস্ত কবি অনুপস্থিত থাকে।
সংকলনটির কী গুরুত্ব, সম্পাদকের ছোট্ট একটি বয়ান থেকেই তা পরিস্কার হয়ে যায়:
“আমরা কক্ষনো বলি না-কবিতা আরোও সরল হোক, সুবোধ্য হোক, জল-মেশানো পদ্যে ভেসে যাক বঙ্গভূমি। এই আকাঙ্খা শঠতা-সমান যে, প্রতিটি মানুষই কবিতা পড়ুক; কাব্যগ্রন্থের বিক্রি বাড়ুক। বরং, আমরা চাই-কবিতা হোক একটি নিভৃত চর্যা। তার সাংকেতিক লিপি ও ইঙ্গিতে যেন সাড়া দিতে পারে গুটিকয় দীক্ষিত পাঠক”। নতুনভাবে প্রকাশ হল ‘তবুও প্রয়াস সংস্করণ’।
