প্রীতম বসাক, তাঁর কবিতায় যেন ঘুম থেকে জেগে ওঠা এক ফুটফুটে পাখি। যে-আকাশপথ ঘুরে ঘুরে বৃক্ষের কাছে আসে। মাটির কাছে আসে। মাটি থেকে খুঁটে নেয় শস্য। শিশুর মতো হামাগুড়ি দেয়— তাঁর ছায়া পড়ে প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের জানালায়। সেই জানালা থেকে দেখেন ফিরে যাওয়া। খোঁজেন পৃথিবীর শুশ্রূষা। মেঘের পাৎলুনে টাঙিয়ে দেন ফকিরের দোয়া। আমরা যেন তারই বর পাই সেই কবিতা পাঠে। ‘শুশ্রূষা ও মেঘের পাৎলুন’ ফুটফুটে সেই পাখিটির টুঁ টুঁ ডাক।
